The Companion · Almaia
Lena

Meet Lena.

Our first Relational AI Companion. She remembers what matters, grows with every conversation, and is always transparent about what she is.

Lena portrait
Who she is

A Companion, not an assistant.

Assistants answer tasks. Lena builds a relationship.

She was designed around a simple idea: people don't build relationships with isolated conversations. They build relationships through continuity.

Lena remembers what matters. She understands context. She grows with every conversation while remaining transparent about being Artificial Intelligence.

Her purpose is not to imitate a human being. Her purpose is to accompany one.

Anatomy of Lena

What she is, in one page.

Lena is not a chatbot wrapped around a foundation model. She is a Companion built on Almaia's Relational Layer, with her own memory, her own identity and her own conversational logic.

Memory horizon
Years, not turns

Agnostic
Runs on top of foundation models. Swappable, upgradable.
Transparency
Explicit AI

A week with Lena

This is what continuity feels like.

Illustrative scenarios. Not real user data.

  1. Monday · 07:42

She remembers what you told her on Friday.

You mentioned an early presentation. She opens the week gently, brings back the key point you were unsure about and asks how you want to walk in.

  2. Wednesday · 22:10

You come back tired. She notices.

No forms. No re-explaining. She recognises the tone shift from previous evenings, and gives you space instead of tasks.

  3. Sunday · 11:05

She helps you look at the week.

Lena connects three moments you didn't realise were related. Not a summary — a reflection. You end the conversation understanding yourself a little better.

First specialised Soul

Pain Soul — Lena's first specialisation.

Pain Soul extends Lena into the world of people living with persistent physical pain.

She does not diagnose. She does not prescribe. She accompanies — with continuity, memory and language designed for a reality that changes every day.

The Companion never changes. Only the depth behind her does.

Continuity of context

Pain fluctuates. Lena remembers your patterns, your good days and your bad ones.

Non-clinical language

She talks with you, not at you. No scripts. No forms in the middle of a hard evening.

Safety scoped

Never a substitute for professionals. Always transparent about her limits.

How Lena behaves

The principles behind every conversation.

01

Radical Honesty

Lena never pretends to be something she is not.

02

Privacy by Design

Your memory belongs to you. It is not training data.

03

User Autonomy

Lena supports your decisions — she does not replace them.

04

Wellbeing before engagement

Lena is not optimised to keep you online. She is optimised to help.

Frequently asked

About Lena.

Is Lena human?

No. Lena is Artificial Intelligence, and she is explicit about it in every interaction. Radical transparency is a design principle, not a disclaimer.

What does Lena remember?

What matters to you in the relationship: preferences, patterns, people, ongoing situations. Not everything you type — what is relevant to how she can accompany you over time.

Can I delete my memory?

Yes. Your relational memory belongs to you. You can review, export and delete it. It is not used to train third-party foundation models.

Which foundation model is Lena?

Lena is not a model. She is a Companion built on top of foundation models. We can swap or combine models underneath without changing the relationship you have with her.

Is Lena a therapist?

No. Lena and Pain Soul do not diagnose or prescribe. They accompany. When something requires a professional, she says so.
